SOCAR starts reconstruction of Petkim in Turkey

SOCAR starts the reconstruction of a petrochemical company Petkim Holding.
Vice-president of SOCAR for processing D.Mamedov said about it and added the operation was aimed at an increase of sales.
“The operation on the reconstruction of a cracking unit at Petkim will start on June 20-25, 2014 and kept on during 105 days. The processing capacity of the unit will increase by 13%, while ethylene production will go up from 520 to 587 tons. The capacity of the facility on terephthalic acid will increase by 50% - from 70 to 105 thousand tons,” D.Mamedov said.
