SOCAR to produce Euro-5 standard fuel in 2018

SOCAR plans to start the Euro-5 standard fuel production at the Baku oil refinery plant n.a. G. Aliev in 2018. The Vice President of the company for processing, D. Mamedov said.
According to him, to reach this goal within 42-48 months the works on the company modernization will be held. The goal is to provide the processing of 7.5 mln tons of oil at this oil refinery plant until 2030 that in its turn will allow to provide the annual production of 3 mln tons of diesel fuel and 2.4 mln tons of fuel. Moreover, it will allow to meet the country’s domestic needs in high quality fuel and provide export operations is small volumes.
