Serbia has stated that it is not going to delay the construction of its sector of the South Stream gas pipeline, which is scheduled for July. This was announced by the country’s Energy Minister Alexander Antich, the Reuters reports. The statement was made after the European Union asked Bulgaria to suspend work on the project this week.
The Minister noted that his country's stand on this issue is not decisive, but expressed hope that the European Commission would find a solution, because implementation of this project is in the interests of European energy security.
