Metallurgical plant n.a. Ilyich reduced steel production by 16% within 5 years

The Mariupol metallurgical plant (MMK) n.a. Ilyich (the Donets region), which is in the structure of the mining and metallurgical company of R. Akhmetov “Metinvest”, in Jan-May 2014 reduced the output of rolled products by 10.4% against the same period in 2013 to 1.597 mln tons.
The plant reported that the steel production within that period fell 16.1% to 1.821 mln tons while cast iron production rose 10.6% to 1.597 mln tons, agglomerate – 1.5% to 5.433 mln tons.
