Rosneft has paid for BP-TNK’s concession in Brazil

In March 2013, Rosneft paid 6 billion rubles for BP-TNK’s concession in Brazil, according to Rosneft’s accounting by ISA. After purchase of BP-TNK, Rosneft has got a 45% shareholding in the concession agreement for 21 exploration block in the Solimões oil and gas basin in the onshore Brazil. Under the agreement, the transaction sum is $1 billion that should be paid off by 5 6-month tranches, starting from April 2012, together with interests by Libor. In March, they paid off the third tranche.
