The first oil at Kashagan to be produced in early July 2013

The first oil at Kashagan will be produced at the beginning of July 2013, to be more precise, by the 15th anniversary of the city. The operator of the project tries to be ready by that time, but NCOC says it is impossible even in the test mode. But Astana, apparently, is also tired of permanent postpones at Kashagan,” a companion said.

The latest date by which the mining at Kashagan should start is September 2013, according to the Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan S.Mynbaev. It was said earlier that the start of the first oil production at an offshore deposit Kashagan is postponed from March to June 2013.
