Volume of oil shipment via sea terminal CPC in Q1 2015 rose by 16.2% to 10.9 mln tons

​The volume of oil shipment via the sea terminal of Caspian Pipeline Consortium at the port of Novorossiysk in Q1 2015 rose by 16.2% against Q1 2014 to 10 mln 979 thousand 539 tons, CPC reports.

In March the oil shipment rose by 19.4% to 3 mln 932 thousand 621 tons.

The pipeline system “Caspian Pipeline Consortium” is one of the largest investment projects in the energy sector with the participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the pipeline that connects the oil deposits of the Western Kazakhstan with sea terminal in Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. The sea terminal CPC is equipped with the mooring fittings allowing to safely load tankers at a far distance from the coast, including in unfavorable weather conditions. The volume of oil shipment via the sea terminal CPC in 2014 rose by 22.2% to 39.9 mln tons.
