Gazprom and Kogas have discussed the realization of the pipeline gas to South Korea

A meeting of the deputy chairman of Gazprom OAO, A. Medvedev, and the executive Vice-President of the Korean Gas Corporation Kogas, Pak Yon Son, was held in Moscow.
The issues of the Russian pipeline for gas supply to South Korea via North Korea were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the commercial parameters of the project. The parties had  progress in the part of the effective decisions necessary to provide for the operation of the future gas transport system. 
On the results of the negotiations it was decided to expand the technical cooperation between the 2 companies and provide the visits of the profiles specialists to the key objects of the gas transport infrastructure of Russia and South Korea for detailed study of their work.
There is an agreement between Gazprom and Kogas that covers a good number of issues, including the working out of the possibility of the Russian natural gas supply.
According to the Intergovernmental agreement of 2 countries Gazprom OAO and Kogas are determined the authorized organizations for the issue of the natural gas supply from Russia to Korea.
On June 23rd ,2009 during the working visit of the delegation of Gazprom OAO to Korea the chairman, A. Miller, and the President, chief executive director of Kogas, Chzhu Kang Su, signed the agreement on their joint  participation in the project on the natural gas supply. In execution of the agreement in 2010 the final report on the study of the variants of organization of the gas supply from the final point of the gas transport system Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok to Korea was made. 
On September 15th 2011 Gazprom OAO and Kogas signed the Road map on the execution of the natural gas supplies to Korea. The road map is a plan of priority measures necessary for the realization of the project.
