The Ukraine suggested the EU share the expenses for the loading of gas storage facilities

The EU should share the expenses with Kiev for the loading of the underground gas storage facilities of the Ukraine to prepare for the worst variant of events next winter, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“The participants of the Committee develop the worst scenarios. They imply all the expenditure on us. We are ready to take the obligations by the basic scenario and in the case of the worst scenario the expenses should possibly be shared with the EU”, Minister of Energy of the Ukraine, V. Demchishin, said.

Such a scenario presupposes the termination of gas supplies by Russia, coal winter and growth of industry in Europe. According to Mr. Demchishin, the Ukraine now pays by 15% more than for the supplies from Slovakia and other EU countries.
