Azeri oil pumping via BTC in Jan-February rose by 2%

​The volume of Azeri oil pumping by the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in Jan-February 2015 made up 4 mln 700.277 thousand tons, by 2% more against the same period in 2014, SOCAR reports.

“In total from the moment of launching the pipeline (June 4th 2006) until March 1st 2015, the volume of oil pumping made up 268 mln 540.123 thousand tons of oil, including in February 2015 – 2 mln 230.224 thousand tons”, SOCAR reports.

In February 2015, 380.5 thousand tons of Turkmen oil and 247.022 thousand tons of Kazakh oil were pumped by BTC.

In Jan-February 2015, 4 mln 824.32 thousand tons of Azeri oil were shipped from the Ceyhan oil terminal, including 2 mln 345.024 thousand tons in February. In general from the moment of the pipeline’s launching 266 mln 763.41 thousand tons of Azeri oil were shipped from the Ceyhan terminal.

In 2014, 28 mln 508.192 thousand tons of Azeri oil were transported via BTC.
