Austrian OMV and Gazprom may conclude contract on gas supply via “South Stream” in spring

The Austrian oil-and-gas company OMV discusses the conclusion of a contract with Gazprom on the supply of gas via the “South Stream”. ITAR-TASS reports citing the source, familiar with the situation.

The document might be signed in spring 2014. The volume of supplies may make up 6 billion cubic meters.

They do not comment the situation in Austrian OMV and Gazprom.

It was stated on February 24th, 2014 that the heads of Gazprom and OMV discussed matters, concerning Russian gas supply to Austria and the process of implementation of the project “South Stream”. In 2013 Gazprom supplied 5.23 billion cubic meters of gas to OMV.
