The German partner of "Gazprom" to invest € 500 million in Russia.

Rainer Seele, the Chairman of the Board of the German oil company Wintershall, stated that the European sanctions did not stop its work in Russia: it is investing € 500 million in local projects in 2015-2018.

On Thursday Seele arrived in Moscow on a one-day visit. He told the reporters that Wintershall planned to invest € 500 million in the period from 2015 to 2018 into the development of its projects in Russia. "This was "Achimgaz", primarily it was the development of the Achimov deposits at the Urengoy field, - he explained RBC. - Last year a clear increase in production was observed at the field, and therefore the decision for further investment was made". "We will continue drilling, especially because we do not have any restrictions there in connection with the sanctions", - he stated.
