In 2014, Kazakhstan to announce auction for geological exploration at 105 perspective sites

Auctions for geological exploration at 105 perspective sites are planned to be held in Kazakhstan, the republic’s Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Aset Isekeshev reported on Thursday.

“In connection with the cancellation of moratorium on the granting of subsoil use rights, an auction for 105 subsoil areas will be held,” – Isekeshev said at the collegium of the Ministry.

According to him, in 2000-2013, 234 billion tenges were invested into geological exploration, at the same time the increase of reserves of mineral resources’ priority types made up 30% in the last 4 years.
