Russian metallurgists continue to manufacture pipes for “South Stream”

The Vyksunsky metallurgical plant (VMZ, Nizhny Novgorod, part of OJSC “OMK”) continues pipe production for “South Stream”, NN.ru states. At present the enterprise manufactures pipes for the first branch of the gas pipeline.

There were no announcements on the contracts, concerning “South Stream”. They think at the enterprise, that the information on the breach of treaty obligations is premature.

VMZ refers to an announcement by V.Putin - on an increase of the capacity of “Blue Stream”, gas pipeline between Russia and Turkey. “According to the information in mass-media the new project also considers underwater route, which comply with the possibilities of the enterprise and reputation of OMK.”
