Gazprom hopes to make the EU construct gas pipelines on its own

After the rejection of South Stream, Gazprom didn’t abandon the idea to deprive the Ukraine of gas transit to Europe. At the same time, the concern expects to make EU countries to build gas pipelines in their territory on their own.

According to the Kommersant, we are talking about how to build a pipeline to Turkey, which will run parallel to Blue Stream. It would go under the Black Sea and then through Turkey to the Greek border. The point of gas delivery will be created there and it will replace the current hubs, used in the receiving gas through the Ukraine.
