Gazprom to make concessions to EU in the sphere of antimonopoly

Gazprom is ready to make concessions to avoid the official accusations of abuse of its dominating position at gas market in Central and Eastern Europe, EU Commissioner for competition Joaquín Almunia said after the negotiations with deputy Chairman of Gazprom Alexander Medvedev.

Almunia specified, the negotiations were productive, “Gazprom is ready to consider conciliation in the framework of the antimonopoly case initiated by EU”. In the nearest days representatives of Russian energy giant will submit the ways to settle the conflict to EC.
