RD KMG reduced net profit by 1.8 times to 138 bln tenge over 9 months

RD KMG in Jan-September 2015 made a net profit of 138 bln tenge ($703 bln) against the profit of 242 bln tenge ($1.357 bln) in Jan-September 2014.

The reduction of the net profit is mainly connected with the revenue fall due to the oil price fall, that was partially covered by the revenue connected with the rise of the tenge/dollar exchange rate.

In Jan-September 2015 the revenue of RD KMG made up 349 bln tenge ($1.783 bln), by 49% less than in Jan-September 2014. The revenue fall is mainly connected with the Brent price fall by 48% as well as with the reduction of the average price of supplies to the domestic market by 50% - from 48 thousand tenge in Jan-September 2014 to 23.8 thousand tenge/ton in Jan-September 2015.

In Jan-September 2015 RD KMG extracted 9.246 mln tons of oil, by 0.3% more than in Jan-September 2014 (taking into account the stakes in LLP JV Kazgermunai, CCEL (JSC Karazhanbasmunai) and PetroKazakh).
