Today the Ukraine and Croatia to create a gas corridor
Today, the Prime Minister of Croatia Zoran Milanovic will arrive on a state visit to the Ukraine. Together with the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Nikolay Azarov they intend to sign a memorandum, which will create an Adriatic gas corridor that will connect the Ukraine, Croatia and Hungary.
During the meeting with the USA state secretary, Victoria Nuland, Nikolay Azarov told that a LNG-terminal and a pipeline would be created on coast of the Adriatic Sea. The Prime Minister explained that the Ukrainian Government has overpaid $20 billion for gas during the cooperation with Russia from 2009. That’s why the Ukraine has to diversify the supplies of energy sources, to produce hydrocarbon using unconventional sources and switch its energy industry to coal.
