Analysis of the impact of Nord Stream 2!

Russia, Germany and a consortium of Western companies have returned to the question of the implementation of the project for the construction of the gas pipeline Nord Stream branch-2, led by Gazprom. In taking into account the existing gas pipeline Nord Stream-1, running under the Baltic Sea,the Nord Stream project implementation-2 "will double the total capacity of the system, bringing it up to 110 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The entire amount will be directly delivered to Germany.

Given the length of the pipeline and its capacity, Nord Stream is declared the world's largest project to transport natural gas to CSOs. Originally Nord Stream-2 "was declared in the agreement of intent from the end of 2011, but its implementation was delayed due to the recession in Europe. At the same time, the draft agreement signed September 4th, 2015 makes it clear. In anticipation of the improving economic and financial indicators in Europe, Gazprom's management predicts a recovery in demand for gas  in 2019, the planned launch date of Nord Stream-2 ". Gazprom also expects a reduction the volume of gas production in Norway, plus given the existing restrictions on production in the Netherlands, according to the Guide, should lead to an increase in European demand for imports (Gazprom.com, as of September 14th).
