The Austrian Voestalpine continues participation in South Stream construction

The Austrian largest metallurgic company Voestalpine will supply 120,000 tons of thick steel plates for pipes production at the Russian OMK for the South Stream pipeline's construction. Supplies will be completed by spring 2015.
Voestalpine claims that the western sanctions do not spread on South Stream project that should be completed before 2018 under Gazprom’s forecast. The first supplies of Russian gas to Europe via the pipeline will start next year.
