Activity of two mines of SUEK-Kuzbass is suspended because of violations

Specialists think that there is a real danger to the miners.

The Siberian Office of the Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision reported on Tuesday that as a result of inspection, conducted by the Office on the night from 29th to 30th of July, a number of works at the mine administration Kotinskaya and the mine N 7 were suspended.

The decision of the administrative suspension of the activity was made by Prokopevsky District Court. The grounds for this decision were a violation of industrial safety.

In particular, presence of an explosive concentration of methane was revealed at the mine of the administration Kotinskaya. In addition, it is reported that the workings, according to the agency, were in a dangerous condition with the risk of fire.
