A company from Sakhalin to start coal supply to India

​“Eastern mining company” from Sakhalin will ship about 55 thousand tons of coal to India for the first time, TASS reports referring to the deputy CEO for corporate communications, V. Ko.

According to him, the company has become the 2nd Russian enterprise shipping coal to India after “Siberian coal company”.

The shipment has already started. Currently raw materials are being loaded into the bulk carrier “Aston Trader 2” at the coal sea port Shakhtersk and within 2 day the vessel will leave for India.

V. Ko said that this is a trial lot, further fate of supplies and interest in the Indian market will be clarified after this shipment.

“Eastern mining company” is the largest coal extraction enterprise in Sakhalin. It sells its products to APR.
