Rosneft wants more Chelyabinsk pipes

The Chelyabinsk pipe-rolling plant will deliver over 9 thousand tons of large diameter pipes (LDP) for construction of the Suzun – Vankor oil pipeline, the company’s press centre reported. The project is implemented by Rosneft within the pipeline system of Yamal; the term of the shipment delivery is May- July, 2014.

Pipes with diameter of 530 mm and wall thickness of 9 mm, made of stainless steel of the 09GBYU grade are made ​​with polyurethane foam coating - (the coating thickness is 100 mm and galvanized shell thickness is 1.5 mm), operating pressure of LDP is 6.3 MPa. This thermal insulation coating is a necessary condition for successful long-term operation of pipe products The Suzun - Vankor oil pipeline will be constructed through the area with harsh climatic conditions: temperature is from -55 to +50 ° C there.
