Parliament of the Ukraine approved a law on export duty cancelation for gas shipped to the Energy Community countries

The Supreme Rada of the Ukraine has canceled the gas export duty to the countries- Energy Community members for the companies the stake in which is 50 % and higher. 254 delegates voted for such a decision with the necessary 226 delegates. The law was approved to execute the agreement on forming the Energy Community that was ratified by the Parliament in 2010. It presupposes the export duties are not applied for the energy products supply to the EU countries.

According to the Ukrainian legislation, the companies-gas exporters pay the rate of export duty at 35% of the Customs gas price but not less than 400 grivna ($$33.7 at the current rate of the country’s National bank) per 1 thousand cubic m.
