Oil production from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli stabilizes at the level of 660 thousand barrels per day

The oil production from the block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli has stabilized and from the beginning of this year is at the level of 660 thousand barrels per day, the BP-Azerbaijan’s President Gordon Birrel announced at the 20th international conference “Oil and gas of the Caspian region-2013”.

“We stabilized the oil production at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block and identified 7 key directions of our activity for long-term maintenance of stable production volumes from these fields. Among them are the drilling of new wells, control over formational pressure, optimization of wells, treatment of reservoir water and sand, carrying out routine maintenance at the ACG facilities and other," - G.Birrel said.
