Gas extraction from deep layers of Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli platform will start in 2019, the President of SOCAR r. Abdullayev says. He tells that negotiations of SOCAR with the participants of the project are at their final stage. They await extraction of 300 billion cubic m of gas from deep layers of Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli. Development of free gas in deep layers of Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli is not presupposed by the active agreement for Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli. The shareholders of the project have the prior right for the start of negotiations for the reserves development.
