Oil refinery plants of Kazakhstan reduced oil processing plan by 700 thousand tons

The oil refinery plants of Kazakhstan have corrected the oil processing plan for 2015 by 700 thousand tons towards the reduction, deputy CEO for marketing of “KazMunaiGas processing and marketing” JSC, E. Koibagarov, said.

“The first two months have led to the correction of the planned 15 mln tons to be processed this year for 14 mln 300 thousand tons. It means we haven’t processed 700 thousand tons within these 2 months”, he said.

“Roughly speaking, we haven’t made money that could be spent for modernization. If the tendency goes on, it will be difficult to say if we have enough funds for modernization. It might possibly be postponed”, he added.

“Today there are large volumes of cheap Russian products imported to the market. And we had to simply shut down the production process”, he said.
