EU antitrust investigation against “Gazprom” to be finished by summer

The results of the EU antitrust investigation against “Gazprom” might be ready by spring, Günther Herrmann Oettinger, European Commissioner for Energy said at the press-conference on Tuesday.   

Since early September 2012, the EU has been carrying out an investigation on violations of the EU acquis, which concern the markets of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Bulgaria. The European Union suspected Gazprom of the restriction of free delivery to the EU countries by means of gas market sharing, disturbance of diversification of supplies and fixing of unfair prices.
