The Ukrainian Parliament has approved a law of a virtual gas reverse

​The Supreme Rada has approved a draft law in the second reading that allows to hold cross charge of gas pumped to Europe and from Europe without its actual transportation.

241 delegates voted for the approval of the law with the necessary minimum of 226 votes.

The delegate, member of the Committee of the Supreme Rada for the issue of tax and customs policy, M. Kuryachi, said that the changes will give an opportunity of the cross charge of gas shipped to Europe and from Europe without its actual transportation.

The delegate S. Sobolev said that his fraction will support the draft law only in case of its connection with the norm that gas extracted in the Ukrainian will be used by the citizens.

In response the Minister of Energy, V. Demchishin, said that this draft law introduces only technical corrections into the Tax Code.

It is about the registration only, not politics or economy, he said.
