Perm oil refinery to produce 5.4 mln tons of Euro-5 diesel fuel a year

A new complex of oil processing will fully process grease oil of Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez, and it won’t be enough.

Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez has become the main among Lukoil’s enterprises on the modernization and the first Russian oil companies having reached the processing depth to 98% - a record for Russia. The Perm oil refinery is ahead the leaders of the Russia’s oil processing sector – Ufaneftechem and Omsk oil refinery belonging to Bashneft and Gazprom Neft respectively.

28 bln roubles (about $950 mln) were invested into the complex of deep oil processing  at Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez.

Such a high processing depth was reached despite of the low quality of raw materials – mixture of various types of oil extracted at the deposits in the Western Siberia and north of the Perm region. Perm oil differs by the increased viscosity and high content of sulphur. The put into operation complex of deep oil processing provides a full processing of remaining fuel (grease oil) and allows to increase the output of Euro-5 diesel fuel.
