"Rosneft" defends the reserves of Arctic "Pobeda".

The State Reserves Committee (SRC) has approved the reserves of "Pobeda" on the Kara Sea shelf. This is one of the largest fields discovered in Russia in recent years. But because of the sanctions and low oil prices,the launch of the production at this site should wait until 2020-2025.

According to the SRC, the hydrocarbon reserves at the "Pobeda" field in the Kara Sea are 130 million tons of oil and 499.2 billion cubic meters of gas C1 + C2. On December 2nd this year the meeting of the Commission had been held, the RF Natural Resources Minister Sergei Donskoi stated, Interfax reports. "Rosneft" stated the expert committee had recommended FGU NPP "Rosgeolfond" put the "Pobeda" field on the state account with these stocks.
