China not to repeat the gas mistakes of Europe

Against the background of increasing pressure from the West, Russia and China continue to expand cooperation. Particular attention is paid to gas agreements. China will soon become one of the priority areas for gas exports, and the country's authorities are trying not to repeat the mistakes of Europe.

Following the historic gas agreement for $400 billion, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping signed a new agreement on November 9. Under the new deal, China will purchase additional 30 billion cubic meters of gas for 30 years, and natural gas will be supplied not only through the eastern corridor, which is the basis of the original agreement, but also through the western corridor through which gas from Western Siberia will be available in China through Altai.
