Turkmenistan and China to construct a new gas pipeline with route through Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan

The decision on the construction of the fourth branch of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline was signed on September 3, 2013 by results of negotiations between Presidents of Turkmenistan and China G.Berdymukhamedov and S. Jinping.

The issue of increase of Turkmen gas supplies to China was decided during the Ashkhabad negotiations.

Today the gas transportation is carried out via two brnaches of the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China, which was launched in December of 2009.
