Rosneft to exclude investment funds by consolidation of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazdobycha

Rosneft intends to become the only owner of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazdobycha. The state company, which has already owned 35.3% in this company, filed an application to the Federal Antimonopoly Service on the purchase of the other 64.7% from the other shareholders – Cypriot investment funds. Analysts don’t rule out that the consolidation may cost Rosneft $300 million that is less than the $444 million, which the company paid Sberbank for the blocking package. Rosneft plans to develop the large the Srednebotuobinsnkoye field, which belongs to Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazdobycha with its foreign partners.
