Nabucco West is still alive

The Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, N. Aliyev claims that Nabucco West project is still alive and can be realized. In his opinion, the selection of one export route, the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) does not mean that the other project will fail. Each of them has independent purposes. Nabucco West will not lose its actuality but the point of the discussion is resources. Production will depend on the development of the resources base in Azerbaijan within the coming 10-15 years. Mr. Aliyev is sure that Azerbaijan has large potential for gas production development. After 2020, Azerbaijan will be able to develop 40 billion cubic m of gas,
