Ashgabat and Beijing sign an agreement about the fourth branch of Turkmenistan-PRC gas pipeline

The agreement about the construction of the fourth branch of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline was signed after the negotiations of the Turkmen President, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and the leader of PRC, Xí Jìnpíng.

The increment of the deliveries of Turkmen gas to China was the main theme of the negotiations. Currently gas is exported via two branches of Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline which was put into operation in December 2009.
