Explosion at a gas pipeline in Turkey

​ An explosion took place at a site of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline located in the east of Turkey.

The Governor of the Kars province, G. Ozdemir, said that the investigation of the accident has been initiated. Measures necessary for the elimination of the consequences of the explosion have been taken.

Currently gas supply by the pipeline is shut down.

Fire followed the explosion at the gas pipeline.

On July 29th the explosion at the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline took place. Local Government accused the military men of the Working Party of Kurdistan that is banned in the country.
