Timchenko: Independent producers must finance Power of Siberia in case of their access to gas export

The independent gas producers should invest into the construction of the infrastructure of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline if their access to the export of pipeline gas is approved. The Russian businessman and co-owner of the gas concern Novatek, Gennady Timchenko stated in an interview.
"Gazprom will invest (into the construction of the Power of Siberia pipeline) and others will be connected to the finished pipe? That’s not right. We must invest in the process from the beginning. The amount needed is very large, about $50-60 billion ... And the desire of the independent producers should be supported by a willingness to invest into the construction of the infrastructure,"- said Timchenko.
