Rosneft manages to bypass the sanctions.

"Rosneft" was able to bypass the EU sanctions banning the import of high technologies and equipment into Russia. On Friday the oil company bought in a stake in the Swiss oil services company Weatherford. Two days earlier "Rosneft" has signed a contract with the Norwegian oil services company North Atlantic Drilling. The deal on Morgan Stanley oil trading should be completed before the end of the year, RBK daily informs.

Under the terms of the contract with Weatherford "Rosneft" bought eight companies engaged in drilling and workover in Russia and Venezuela, the company stated. The parties also agreed on the long-term cooperation in the field of the oilfield services. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed, but as we learned from the decision of the Russian company’s Board of Directors on July 28, "Rosneft" has paid no more than 398.3 million dollars for the Swiss assets.
