Angarsk petrochemical company implements distributed control system to increase reliability

The control system has been arranged at a delayed coking unit 21-10/ZM of the oil processing plant.

An arrangement of the distributed control system, based on the software product of Honeywell Experion PKS, has been completed at the delayed coking unit 21-10/ZM of the oil processing plant of OJSC “Angarsk petrochemical company”. At present complex testing of the control system is carried out. It was stated by the press-service of the company.

The distributed control system comprises control units, workstations and powerful software, which provides control over the technological process. The workstations of the operators are equipped with liquid-crystal monitors, which provide full information about the process in terms of a wall diagram, trend data and a message window.
