BP-TNK gets rid of “the judicial past”

The minority shareholder of BP-TNK Holding company Andrei Prokhorov won’t be at law with BP any more. Appeal court accepted his waiver to the structures of the British company for recovery of damages because of the failed deal with Rosneft. The state company didn’t mind the Prokhorov’s claim was considered on its merits.

The Eight Arbitration Appeal Court in Omsk supported solution of lower court and again took the relinquishment of the TNK-BP Holding company’s minority shareholder Andrey Prokhorov of the claim to the BP’s structures, the Interfax reported. The court also repeatedly recall the judgment on collection of 100.4 billion rubles from BP and the proceedings on the Rosneft’s complaint, which insisted on the examination of this case on its merits.
