TMK and Skolkovo sign a contract on the construction of technical-scientific centre

According to the contract, Skolkovo undertakes to provide a complex of works on the engineering and construction of the Centre’s buildings in the territory of the innovative centre – from design of the project, engineering investigations and solving legal issues to building and assembly works and the launch of the project. The centre is planned to be completed by the end of 2016.
The signing of the contract means start of the practical implementation of the plans for the building of the centre, the construction of which was agreed in April of 2013. The centre will work on development of efficient technologies for the production and exploration of oil and gas fields, transportation of hydrocarbons, as well as new ideas on the increase of energy efficiency of the main technological processes in ferrous metallurgy.
The future centre is planned to consist of two adjoining buildings. Laboratories and industrial equipment will be in one building, and administrative rooms and offices – in the other.
Anton Yakovenko, general director of Skolkovo’s management:
- We know TMK as a large industrial company, which is seriously engaged in applied research investigation and welcome conclusion of this contract. We have no doubts that the project will be successful.
