Norilsk Nickel expects prices of metals to decrease by 9-12%

Norilsk Nickel has expected that in the second quarter prices of produced metals will decrease by 9-12% as compared to the first quarter of 2013, the Norilsk Nickel’s Deputy General Directors and Chief of the Economics and Finances Department Sergei Malyshev stated to journalists.

“The price trend in the second quarter is unfavorable. Today we expect that the prices will decrease by 9-12% depending on metal. Due to this we expect a strong impact on our rates in the 2nd quarter against the level of the last year and planned prices, determined for this year. We work on measures to decrease the impact of this negative factor,” – Malyshev noted.
