In 2013, production of ferrous metals in Kazakhstan decreased by 20%

From the beginning of 2013, the production volume in the Kazakh ferrous metallurgy decreased by 20% as compared to the same period of 2012; international sanctions on Iran influenced the rates of the industry, the republic’s First Minister of the Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau reported on Tuesday.

“The the whole the industry develops quite well, although I have to acknowledge that we have a decrease in the ferrous metallurgy…from the beginning of the year its volume index is only 80%, the share of the KarMet plant is very big,” – Rau said during the press conference.
