SOCAR-AQS has started drilling of a new horizontal well at the Western Absheron

SOCAR-AQS has started to drill a new horizontal well at the Western Absheron deposit.
The well #20 will be drilled from the offshore platform #20 and will be horizontal.
The project depth of the well is 760 m.
The drilling will be held until the productive Kirmakinskaya suite-3 layer.
On March 18th 2016 SOCAR put into operation the well #25 which was drilled from the platform #20 at the Western Absheron.
In H1 2016 SOCAR plans to complete the development of the offshore platform at the Western Absheron.
The reserves of the Western Absheron are assessed at 10 mln tons of oil.
