Rosneft starts the geophysical work in the Eastern Arctic.

The aerogravimagetic survey started in the South Chukotsk license area in the Eastern Arctic in order to obtain information about its geological structure. JSC "NK "Rosneft" in cooperation with ExxonMobil is studying six licensed sites in the Chukchi Sea and the Laptev Sea: Ust - Lensk, Ust - Oleneksk, Anisinsko - Novosibirsk, South Chukotka, North Wrangel - 1 and 2. Before the end of 2014 comprehensive studies on all six sites with the total area of 440 thousand square km will be conducted with the help of three aircrafts with magnetometric and gravimetric equipment installed on board.
