Russian Ministry of Economic Development doesn’t rule out sale of the whole state package of Bashneft

The Russian Ministry of Economic Development has started the selection of invest consultants to assess the terms of the privatization of package of Bashneft, which is one of the ten largest Russian oil companies, and doesn’t preclude the sale of the whole state-owned stake, the head of the Ministry Alexei Ulyukayev told journalists.

"This possibility exists, in fact, this is our proposal Now we will select an investment consultant, he will suggest us in terms of market conditions and the window of opportunity for the sale," - he said.
Earlier, a senior federal official reported that Russia considered three options for the privatization of Bashneft - the sale of the package of 25% shares, 50% and, together with the stake of Bashkiria - 75% of the shares. The head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov said that the Russian Ministry of Economic Development would like to sell the Bashkortostan’s stake in Bashneft, but it is impossible for the republic.
