The Ukraine has increased gas reserves at its underground gas storage facilities by 0.05%

The gas volumes at the Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities as of March 2nd 2015 made up 8.146 bln cubic m. The gas volume rose by 0.05% per day.

According to GSE, the level of loading of the underground gas storage facilities rose to 25.5% from 25.48% as of March 1st when there were 8.142 bln cubic m at the Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities.

Last Friday the Minister of Energy of Russia, A. Novak, said that Russia considers the risk of collection of transit gas by the Ukraine to be high, as there are only 2-3 bln cubic m of “active” gas at its underground gas storage facilities.

Mr. Novak reminded that 5-6 bln cubic m out of 8 bln cubic m is the so-called buffer gas which should always be present at the underground gas storage facilities – it can’t be used.
