This year, the company wants to maintain the oil production in Russia at the level of 86 million tons. This information was reported by the company’s president, Vagit Alekperov, who met with Vladimir Putin. The President promised to support the new projects of Lukoil.
Alekperov said: "This year, we will produce 86 million tons in Russia, that is, we will compensate the production due to the discovery of new fields. But things get more complicated, because, unfortunately, you know, we are limited only by land. This year, we discovered another field in the Caspian Sea and almost ends our geological exploration there".
