Tau-Ken Samruk National Mining Company and the Tort-Kudyk Ore-Dressing Combine have signed a memorandum for understanding presupposing the  joint development of the Eshkeolmes gold deposit in Kazakhstan. The cooperation mechanism, ways of financing and shares distribution are being discussed at the moment and will be set in a separate agreement.

In 2010 Tort-Kudyk completed the investment project for its ore-dressing combine's reconstruction. They installed an innovation technology producing ligature gold with the metal content of up to 98%. The project was executed in 2007-2010. It gives an opportunity to attract for development the nearby sites that used to be considered unprofitable. In 2011 the combine is going to reach the projected capacity of 500,000 tons of ore, 1 ton of gold and 10 tons of silver.
